Light Emitting Diode (LED) light therapy is a well known therapy that is clinically proven to provide therapeutic benefits in helping to heal and repair the skin. LED light therapy was originally developed by NASA for plant growth experiments on shuttle missions and later found to help with wound treatment. The U.S. Navy SEALs began using it in the 1990s to help heal wounds quickly and to help regenerate damaged muscle tissues.  LED light therapy is now being used by chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, nutritionists, aesthetician and a variety of other health and wellness practitioners.

What to Expect?

It is recommended that you come to your appointment with clean, dry skin.  The Celluma will be positioned very close your face or the area being treated for the 30 minute session. The Celluma device does not provide much heat and you will feel little or no sensation. Celluma LED Therapy offers no harmful thermal effect to tissue and no danger to the eyes as well, but eye protection is recommended for sensitive eyes. There is no downtime or recovery. While the results of Light Therapy are cumulative, most people feel or see an improvement with one or two uses.

How to Maximize Results?

As in the case of working out and exercising, the benefits of LED light therapy are cumulative. So, for best results it is recommended to schedule 2-3 sessions per week until the desired result is achieved. Then you can maintain your results with 1 session every month or every few months. Use Celluma for up to 30 minutes per area for faster, better and longer lasting results.
